Aerosol Biogeochemical cycles, Sources and TRansport processes in the climate-sensitive ArCTic (ABSTRACT)
IADC_id: 114

Call year: 2019
Subject area:
RIS - Project:
Principal investigator:
Project description:
The project aims obtaining a better knowledge of the complex processes characterizing the snow-air interface and PBL in The Arctic region and the new information about the feedback processes of the polar climate system in order to improve the model parametrisation and reduce the uncertainty on future scenarios. This task will be accomplished by annual intensive measurements and sampling campaigns at the Gruvebadet observatory (Ny Alesund – Italian station “Dirigibile Italia”). The obtained data set will allow a better understanding the complex relationship between optical properties of the atmosphere, physical and chemical aerosol composition, climate forcing and environmental feedbacks.
