Project description:
OPTAER is a multidisciplinary project aiming at a novel characterization of aerosol in Arctic regions. It stems from a recently introduced laser scattering technique, providing complementary information with respect to other methods, thus representing a step forward for the comprehension of the role of aerosol in the Arctic environment. Characterizing the role of airborne particles in radiative transfer and dry deposited dust on snow surface are the main goals of OPTAER.
National/International Cooperation:
The cooperation will involve the University of Milan, the University Milano Bicocca, the European Cold Laboratory Facilities (EuroCold) and the CNR Institute of Polar Sciences.
