The Melting-ICE project aims to characterize the effect of climate-induced thawing of permafrost and ice melting on the biodiversity and ecosystem functioning of Arctic environments. The project will use an interdisciplinary, polyphasic approach to investigate the role of soil microorganisms in mediating carbon exports to the fjord.
